What it is? | Popularly known as ("maiden's needle"), Ellansé fillers are a type of facial treatment that has anti-aging properties. Like, they are a type of injectable dermal filler, but they differ from the former in many ways. |
How does it work |
Ellanse fillers are made of a biodegradable synthetic polymer called polycaprolactone (PCL). Their main ingredient is PCL microspheres, which are suspended in a gel carrier made of another polymer called carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). If the big scientific terms sound scary, don't worry-the actual process of injection is generally considered safe and straightforward. As you age, your body produces less and less of two structural proteins: collagen and elastin. Your skin loses firmness and becomes loose, causing sagging and drooping. The fillers are injected into your skin to restore volume that is lost as a result of this. Ellansé fillers work using a simple two-step process. First, upon injection, volume-deficient areas in your skin are immediately filled up with the CMC gel carrier. Next, the PCL microspheres simultaneously stimulate the process of neocollagenesis, causing your body to produce more collagen. Over time, as the CMC gel carrier is naturally reabsorbed by your body, new collagen replaces it and retains the PCL microspheres, leading to longer-lasting volume. From then on, you may enjoy a natural lifting and tightening effect on your skin as a result of the collagen produced. |
