Radiese Filler is the first FDA approved CaHA Filler giving patients who try it immediate and long-term results. Whether you need improvements in the lower face or in your hands, this Filler gives you that smooth feeling that you've been wanting for so long! This filler can be used for both skeletal or veiny hands as well as moderate fine lines and wrinkles. It's considered a lunch-time filler so it's quick and non-invasive. Calcium hydroxylapatite is the substance that makes up Radiese filler, and the ingredient that creates a smoother, fuller look to your face and hands.
if Dermal Fillers are right for you, then let's first discuss exactly what they are. Importantly, Radiese is one of the most familiar of the various Dermal Fillers. Radiese is not only a material that can be applied internally (intradermally) to help add volume, then lift and/or plump your skin thus removing the severity and appearance of wrinkles. Further, as we age, we naturally lose volume in our face and as a result, then gravity takes over. The skin will then actually droop downward. The once favorite parts of our face (once full, elastic) like our cheeks, lips, chin and forehead ultimately lose the battle with gravity allowing your facial "fat pads" underneath to show. If that weren't bad enough, the bones in the face also change which can also contribute to an aging appearance. As we age, our bones tend to decrease in volume.
Have you ever seen a "shrinking, little old lady?" Over time, it seems like she shrank 4 inches. Well, that's because she did! Like the rest of the bones in our body, our facial bones shrink. The upper jaw, the lower jaw, our cheek bones etc. all shrink. As this occurs your face starts to look less full with skin drooping like meat curtains. Trust me, you don't want that.
Because our skin starts to lose elastin and collagen over time, we start to lose volume in it. Radiese helps in the increase of both of these elements to give that voluminous look back to our skin. When we inject the Radiese CaHA gel into our skin, we immediately start to see results and volume starts to be put back into our faces. The CaHA particles start to separate into our skill later developing elastin and collagen growth.
Radiese ® is completely different in its basic composition from hyaluronic acid (HA) based dermal fillers (such as J uvéderm® and Restyla n e®) as it is made from a synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite. This is a biomaterial with more than twenty years of use in other surgical specialties. The calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres are suspended in an aqueous gel carrier. This allows Radiese ® to behave like a semi-solid soft tissue implant. Once injected into the treatment area, it provides immediate volume and correction. Furthermore, the calcium hydroxylapatite remains stable long after its gel carrier is reabsorbed, stimulating your body to produce more collagen. This is why a dermal fillers procedure with Radiese® can produce a long-lasting result.
Ideal Candidate for Radiese®
It is important with any aesthetic procedure that you be assessed in person. The internet has become a fantastic resource for patients to explore the many options that exist for rejuvenating the face, hands and body. However, any procedure must be individualized to your unique anatomy. This means that what worked for your favorite influencer on social media, a friend or even a family member may not work for you.
As a more robust filler, the ideal candidate for Radiese® is any man or woman in good overall health who is bothered by moderate to severe:
And who is not:
As discussed, Radiese® has a completely different structure than an HA filler. This gives it a thicker or more firm consistency, making it most suitable for deeper soft tissue volumization in the nasolabial folds, jawline, cheeks, and frown lines. Dr. Doherty will often combine Radiese® with a "softer" filler such as Restyla n e ®, Restyla n e Lyft ® or J uvederm ® to create a long-lasting, deep tissue augmentation with a smooth surface.
Radiese® is also what is known as a collagen stimulator. This means that it encourages your own body to produce more collagen at the injection sites thus producing a longer lasting result. Once the immediate volumization of the spheres diminish, you are still left with ramped up collagen. As the component in the skin that provides lift and structure, more collagen means a smoother, tighter, and more youthful look to the treatment area.
Treatment
VoLassom is a Korean filler developed on the basis of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier with a high water content. It is a cosmetic product used for volumetric facial modeling, correction of deep wrinkles and ensuring a long-lasting lifting effect without surgical "lifting". The product is safe, well-tested, does not cause an inflammatory reaction in tissues, does not migrate and biodegrades evenly. The flexibility of the product makes it resistant to forces acting on e.g. facial muscles, which ensures an extremely stable effect. The effects last for 1.5-2 years, depending on the patient's individual predispositions.
