Olidia® is an injectable dermals fillers based on poly L-lactic acid. This filler has been developed to fill in the lost volume on the face by stimulating collagenesis. The main ingredient of Olidia® is PLLA. PLLA has been used around the world for over 20 years in medical devices, e.g. for dissolving sutures. As Olidia® is made of synthetic materials, there is no need for allergy testing before the procedure.
What is PLLA?
It is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) is a biocompatible and biodegradable polymer. PLLA particles stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen, while the newly formed collagen creates volume. After administration, PLLA is absorbed and degraded, thereby eventually undergoing respiration as Co2.
PLLA is the most durable dermals fillers of all currently FDA approved biodegradable products. In 80% of respondents, it lasted for about 24 months.
