What is Profhilo®?
Depending on the skin condition and type, you can see the effect after 1-3 treatments. For best results, we recommend 3 sessions at an interval of 3 weeks.
What does Profhilo® do?
L-HA is time-released and deeply hydrates your skin, H-HA provides a dermal scaffolding in the dermis that holds up and lifts the contours of your face. Profhilo® lasts around 28 days in the skin. Within that time, there is the stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin in multiple skin layers that takes place by slow release of HA.
Is Profhilo® the same as my regular filler or skin booster?
Profhilo® is not a dermal filler or skin revitaliser. It is in-between a skin booster and a filler, occupying a brand-new created injectable classification called Bio-remodeling.
What results can I expect?
Depending on where Profhilo® is injected (face, neck, inner arms and/or hands), it stimulates the production of elastin, collagen and boosts hydration in the skin, bringing about:
Softening and reduction of lines
Increased skin tautness
Healthier-looking skin
More youthful skin
Visible improvements in skin quality and hydration are observed in as early as 4 weeks after treatment and continue to do so in the ensuing months. Effects last between 6 - 12 months.
What's the procedure like?
The face is cleansed and anaesthetic cream is applied onto the 5 Bio-Aesthetic Points (BAP) on each side of the face. The BAP represents the injection sites of Profhilo®, carefully selected to keep risks to vessels and nerves to a minimum. Once injected, Profhilo® immediately starts to spread throughout the face.
Is there any downtime?
The initial bumps observed at each injection site rapidly subsides in the next few hours. There is virtually no downtime for this treatment.
How does Profhilo work?
As a stabilised product Profhilo lasts in the skin around 28 days. During this time the stimulation of 4 different types
ofcollagen and elastin takes place by slow release of HA.
The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore we cannot say that Profhilo is a skin booster as it also hasa significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.
